Default Is anyone else excited about the new Honda CRV?

Hi. I always think it's exciting when Honda builds a new model from the chassis up. Is anyone else excited about the completely redesigned CRV? I think this would be the perfect compliment to the S2000. I'm hoping for a great manual transmission, and at least 170 hp with a flat torque curve. A fantastic stereo would be nice, too. I'm hoping the whole thing sells for under $20,000.

Eh, not my cup of tea. I'd rather have a Rav 4.

Just my opinion.

My mom has the current CR-V...new one looks ugly. Also, there is no way it will be under 20k. All prices are going up.

That's not much of a change from the current CRV at 160HP. It's going to need atleast 200 HP to have a reasonable chance of competing with the Rav 4.

I have both an S2000 and CRV, and the pairing works well. But it really depends on your needs and priority. The CRV is not great on gas, I avg 22 MPG, and being manual, it doesn't excell as a daily driver. But the CRV is a great way to make the S2000 more fun. How? Drive the CRV for a week, and then drive the S2000, the sudden difference makes driving the S feel like the fastest, best handling vehicle ever.

Actually, that photo is outdated.. These are the more current photos of the 07 CR-V

And nope, not excited by it at all. It's still bland, still underpowered, and it has some horrible design executions with the rear window and the front grille/bumper treatment.. all in all, ho hum zzZZzzzz.
