Actually, France seems to be doing quite a bit of work, car wise.

Reminds me too much of a Smart Roadster.

I like the idea of a electric city car, being a roadster makes it somewhat appealing. The $80K cost though is pretty outrageous. But it is nice to see a european socialist nation on the verge of collapse trying to do something besides rioting in the streets.

Out west testing electric vehicles in Orange County and Death Valley (whee!).

I looked at the Tesla Model S in their showroom in OC on Friday. Pretty impressive car. Hopefully they'll do another much smaller/lighter-weight electric car as well in the future, but the next model is to be an SUV based on the S platform.

For around-town and commuting usage, there's a lot going for EVs, and the price differential is coming down as miles per charge is going up. In the coming years we will be seeing a lot more of them.

Electric vehicles (and hybrids, too) *can* be FUN, they don't have to be like the Leaf and Prius!

750kg seems pretty sweet to me. I just wish electric cars had more range. But of course that would add weight and take longer to charge. I just think that these cars would be great for people who live in the city. Who never drive more than 200kms in a day. It would be a great daily driver, but I still can't see them saving us money until they get their prices down.

I once considered a FiT electric but it's not offered east of Cali so I spent my money elsewhere

A vehicle weight of 750kg sounds awesome, but there is no way it would pass crash standards here in America.
