Anybody catch the RS7 lost 400kg/881lb? That is impressive.

Anyone at the track is going to want to drive the car themselves and get the rush and excitement from driving, but it's a cool idea and the technology of it all is quite impressive. However, I would be expected that the automated driving would be quicker than a person driving because the engineering people at Audi will have a better idea of the car's capabilities and a computer can calculate the speed taken into a turn and really push the car to perform at its peak level.

However, I'm curious if the car was able to determine the road and where to drive or if that had to be put into a computer system that the car uses. I am also curious to see what would happen if they tried this at an autocross track where the course is mapped out with cones and the route is not as clear as it would be on a traditional track.

Impossible! With modern day safety Standards and consumer demand for amenities cars only get heavier. That's what S2Ki's car talk has taught me!
