Back in a manual Honda!?
 

Picked this up on Monday on a whim. It's a 2004 Element EX 5MT 2WD aka the "Boxy CR-V". Not a lot of impressions yet except that it doesn't feel at all like a 15 year old car with 211k miles on it. Bought it from the original owner who replaced it with another orange Element (automatic 08 with lower miles). No real plans for it, I just always thought they were neat, probably just use it for camping trips and other mess making adventures. The PO put a lot of money into getting the suspension sorted and it shows, it rides very flat and has no squeaks or rattles. Overall he took excellent care of it and I am very happy with the condition of it, although it could use a good cleaning inside.

Fun Fact: The Element has an almost identical footprint to our Golf R, within 1" on length and width.

awesome, I always liked them, and I wished they still produced them, very cool, tons of interior space and very practical.

I always liked the Element. Utility done right.

Love them. A coworker has one, just spent a bunch of money getting the engine and transmission fixed up. Now it runs like new and he'll never sell it.

Thanks! Yeah, in pretty good shape for it's age/mileage, these things seem to run forever and their owner base seems really enthusiastic about them.

Yep, it's pretty light in it's operation, it could use a heavier knob, but im not sure what's available that works with the stock boot.

Yeah, from what I have seen, a lot of current owners wish Honda was making them still too! Yeah, practicality is definitely it's strong suit, but it's not bad to drive either.

Yeah, me too, okay well maybe not always, I was in high school when they came out and I remember thinking they were super ugly hahaha. I guess after a while of seeing them around they grew on me.

They certainly have dedicated fans. I have never seen so many vehicles with over 200k for sale by original owners!

I have a 2007 5-speed Element SC. Been everywhere & back. Twice! Love it. :)
