Want to remove badges from the rear facing part of the trunk lid. What's the best way to go about doing this without doing any kind of scratching or damage?

Get some fishing line. (I've used dental floss, but it can fray.) Saw it back and forth between the trunk and badge. Do it from all four sides, since the badge is positioned with posts.

Once the badge is off there will still be some sticky stuff residue left, so use bug and tar remover to get that off. Give it a proper washing and you're all set to put the replacment badge on.

I agree, but dribble some Goo Gone or Xenit on top of the badge to loosen up the adhesive. I used Goo Gone on mine and they came off easily without any scratches or residue. You'll also want to put some rubbing alcohol on the badge area to clean off all the residue from the adhesive and the adhesive remover. (see below)

Also use the blue painters tape and surround the badge with it to protect the paint.
