I was commenting that the video is old despite the fact that was just posted. I didn't realize that would get your panties in such a wad so early in the year.

Post like yours really make you sound like a Honda boiracer.

Glad you guys like it... to the people who think the S2000 doesn't have those cars as competitors. You are all right, the car is no longer in production

In reality the s2000 came in 2nd behind the boxster S. Theres no way any of thos car could compete with the amg's speed.
Based on fastest lap the S2k was actually faster than the Boxter S.

Meh they used an automatic Boxster S...I don't understand why they didn't use the manual which is faster.

At least in the first few minutes of the video where there is a review done of the 987S it's a proper manual. It was fun seeing the driver's comments about the car.

He is spot on when he says the car needs tighter gear ratios; but then it would be too close to the 911 so...

I've driven the R170 SLK32 and had much respect for it. I can only imagine how much better the R171 SLK55 can be, definitely a respectable competitor in any class.

If the auto boxster was anywhere close to the auto in that AMG, it should have been faster around that track. It was impressive how simple that tranny in the AMG made driving, all the driver had to do was dial in the corner entry speed with that brake, the car did the rest.
