I have seen threads about best sounding exhaust notes, but I have never seen one that divides them into categories. So just for fun I was curious to see what sounds are the most impressive to them. The number of cylinders greatly affect the exhaust note of every different car, so what are your favorites based upon the number of cylinders. It can be stock or modded. I will start and hopefully others will show me what you got.

Carrera GT is probably the best sounding car of all time for me. That one takes the cake!

I'm a huge fan of high-pitched sound. I agree with you on most of those vids. CGT, 355, LP640(holy high pitch), and GT3RS's flat 6 sounded extremely good with that exhaust.

And yes, s2k sounds the best among all the 4 banger. It sounds way better and raw than a lot of V6 out there as well.

Its hard to go against the 911 in the 6cyl category but...(Putting on flame suit)...hard to beat the sounds of the Nissan Nismo 350z.

I like how a vee motor sounds and hate inlines. V4, 6, 8, 10, 12, all sound good, probably the 8 I like a little better than the rest.

Don't forget the lower end! Give me a Triumph triple, a Ducati twin, and, um... okay there is no single that sounds good, ha ha.

The CGT I think would be my choice. The LF-A I love, but it really only gets nasty in the top part of the register...which I'm certain was engineered that way - to keep it mature and "lexus-like" unless you really mash on the throttle. They did the same thing in the IS-F.
The CGT sounds awesome at any RPM...
