Bidder wins M3 on eBay, dealer refuses to honor
I came across this story on autoblog.com. Here's the post on m3post.com : click here
Basically, he won the eBay auction for the M3 that a BMW dealer put up, thinking that the winning bid would be high. After the auction ended at 60 000$, they called the winner to tell him that the auction was a mistake. Here's the link to the auction: here

Good ol' dealers. They'll still **** you even if you never go in to the dealership.
Yikes, that car is ugly. The coupe is vastly superior cosmetically and what is up with that interior.. ugh. Maybe it's just me but the 3 series sedan rear tails look extremely goofy. Probably still fun as hell to drive though.

Must be the legendary BMW dealership customer service I always keep hearing about.
I have a feeling someone will be losing a job after all is said and done.

Whats sad is, I don't know if this is how it is in all states... but in North Carolina, written contracts on automobiles are not able to be legally enforced until delivery of the automobile has taken place...
The same goes for down payments... if you make a "non-refundable" down payment, is legally has to be refundable until you take possession of the car... no matter what the dealer or contract says.
Anyways, no matter what... I hate dealerships with a passion. I'm still trying to find a good one that will not try to screw me somehow or another
