I would assume that the TT I6 and the V8 finding their way into the next Z4 would be a logical progression that happened with the Z3.

I think that would give BMW a helluva 1-2 combination in that segment.

^^ totally agree.

I just do not share views with a lot of people on cars. I look at the price of the car as the price of the car....sure, I don't go out and buy mitsu eclipses that lose 75% of their value before I even drive it off the lot, but besides just avoiding the worst of the worst, I could care less what the resale is.

I'm hoping for the 335's I6. V8's are not as special to me. And the 335 motor should be less expensive (but I'm not sure about that).

I'm looking to buy the next gen M coupe. I will not, however, buy it if it has the plebeian I6TT in it, no matter how great of an engine it is. I want an M engine in an M car.

I hope your not against FI altogether. The next M5 WILL be a twin-turbo V10 along with their supercar they are denying.

They wouldnt use the N54 engine in an M Car anyway. Its not wild enough. It sure is competent though. By that time the engine will have a scheduled power bump anyway.

I have a WRX. I'll take FI over N/A if given the choice

But I'm sure you agree with me that the N54 engine doesn't belong in an M car which is my major beef. It's far too plebeian.

There is talk of increasing the wheelbase and they HAVE to do that and/or some other major suspension change if they add real power. The current design is already twitchy by all reports. Adding more engine grunt will not help!

The S2000, meanwhile, will continue to be offered with a range of powerplants, including a high-rpm four-cylinder engine, a high-revving four-pot mill, and an inline four with a high redline.

Sources indicate that Honda might try to stir things up by introducing a quad-piston engine with a linear-type cylinder configuration that will spin at a high rate of speed
