That's great InVTEC. You'll definitely feel a difference between the Integra and TSX. It's a great daily driver.

Good cars. Keep in mind a few years later they added some features inside that are nice and noteworthy.

I too will at some point be selling my Integra to get a TSX....or an 09-11 Si...I Haven't decided yet. I would never sell my S2000 either.

well if the a/c explodes ill just have to do without haha. I was looking at 05 but they car considerably more. I can get a low to mid milage 04 tsx for about 6,900 - 7,500 which i think is pretty good but 05 go for about 9 - 10,000. so for the few changes from 04 to 05, i dont think it's worth the price diff.
The tsx started life in 03 in japan so i dont think i have to worry about first year production faults; so that's a good thing

I actually prefer the styling of the 04 - 05 Model's to the 06+ and above. Wife/I had an 04 slushbox for 5 years.

Bulletproof car, avoid the slushbox at all costs. Also, a quick Hondata tune will wake up the engine and remove the 6K big cam engagement, and lower it to 5ish for a more useful big cam profile.

Looking back it was a great car for the wife, but for what I want its just not fast enough.

We have a 2005 6-speed with 135000 miles on it.

Overall pretty solid car, but I have had to replace the passenger side axle for the second time this weekend. OEM axle started vibrating at around 60000. Bought an EMPI replacement that lasted another 75000. Now I have Cardone axle. Always seem to be the passenger side that develops bad joints. Aftermarket axles are relatively inexpensive, so it's not worth rebuilding an oem axle.

The alternator went out at 130000 miles, almost stranding me. I had to put in a replacement in the parking lot of an Autozone.

One of the rear bearings went out. Started hearing clicking noises from the rearm probably at around 100,000 miles. Good thing is that the whole assembly is bolted in so I didn't need a press. Did change the rear rotors then, since I had to take them off anyway.

List of things that annoy me:

The vtec switch over is at around 6000 rpm, barely 1000 rpm away from the red line. Hondata flash lowers it to 4000 rpm and you gain 30lb*ft of torque in midrange.

The center arm rest lid design is pretty awful.

Seats are not very comfortable for me. The seat bottom is too short and there is not enough side bolster.

The gears are not spaced out well. 1-2 shift is especially bad making it slow and jerky. Wish they would have kept the gear ratios the same as the Civic SI.

Already mentioned, but the oil filter is hard to get to, although I am able to remove it with a filter wrench just by turning the wheel.

Clutch replacement requires removing the subframe. Really wish I could put in a lighter flywheel, but cost is prohibitive and I don't need a new clutch yet.

Really annoying throttle delay in drive by wire system.

Stock Michelin tires that came with the car were bloody awful. I replaced it with 224/45 summer tires, but there is a slight bulge since the stock wheel is only 7" wide. Wish they were 7.5"

If I was looking at used TSX, I'd look for 2006 or newer. There were notable changes to the engine and to the interior. And I think 2007+ is compatible with Flash pro.
