Car Maker sold
Not a brand on most S2000 owners' radar scope, but I recently read that the Morgan family sold a controlling interest of Morgan Cars. After, what, over a century? Jeez, they'll probably come out with a Morgan SUV now.
Right now I cannot think of any other privately-owned brands.

That kind of sucks... hope the owner doesn't dilute the brand too much, as the brand itself is "eccentricity" and "old-school."
I have strongly considered a Morgan 3-Wheeler. Just seems like everyone who has driven one says it's an absolute hoot.

Ash wood frames if I recall correctly.

I hope the new owners don't mess with the formula that makes Morgan Morgan.
On a side note, their Aero GT3 car is quite possibly the coolest thing...in the world.

I'll have to catch up on the Morgan deal, but maybe things will stay BAU? I hope so.

While I like the idea and looks of Morgan, I could never see myself actually considering one.
My hope is that a company like Rivian can create platforms that bring back coach builders.

That said, I recall a print ad for a dealer that included line art -- not a photo -- of a Morgan van with the company name on it. That would be cool, or a "shooting brake" type sport wagon. Being hand built, I guess they could make anything for enough $$$.
Yes, but I think that is misunderstood by many. The chassis that the suspension and engine is mounted to is Z-section steel. It's the bodywork above it that is supported by a wooden "framework".
Well, I learned something... didn't even know they were still around.
Last time around, my wife said get what I want -- with the exception of a Morgan. Despite a lifetime driving sporty, stiffer-than-normal cars, one ride in her co-worker's Plus 8 turned her off the marque forever.

Are current Morgan models US compliant? What does Panoz have as a portfolio to offer right now?
