The A3 with AWD starts out at $35k.
OMG who the hell would pay 35k for that! I thought it would be more in line with the 24k base price...

no way I would purchase a v6 camry over a LGT. Can you say mush?
Yeah, the GT Ltd is much more fun to drive, plus the engine sounds great - the Camry is like driving a Library around imo. Also, since the GT Ltd's motor is a factory detuned WRX engine, it is easily modified for sub 5 sec 0-60 runs. Not that your sis would do that, but maybe after she starts making the buku bucks, she'll buy her own car and give you back the Subie.

The Legacy is a sharp looking car, but I was under the impression that the Camry was tightened up quite a bit. Plus you can get a loaded camry for $30k. I think the Legacy loaded is in the $35k range. Also, IMO AWD is more of a marketing gimmick. A good set of snow tires makes up for any AWD advantage.

Both are good cars, but my money is on the newer better looking Camry.

Ford Fusion/ Mercury Milan. Excellent car, good looking (much better looking than a Camry).

Why not a TL? Those can be had for under 30k and easily offer the pseudo luxury you're looking for.

I wouldn't go with an Avalon, they've been having trouble with that car, especially the engine. Camry may be an issue as well since they have the same engine.

since you have only thoese two to choose from i would say the tsx...down the road after the warranty runs out the tsx will be trouble free and the volvo will require some work...i have a volvo and an acura and a few other cars, have owned several of each. i love volvo's but they would always be my 2nd choice over a honda product (acura)...

for the same mony chose to 27,000 you would be able to find an almost new 2004 and newer TL, an even better choice, i have one of those too.
