I really dont know where to post this question so it might as well be here. Is there any "special" prep work for painting a carbon fiber hood? or is it like any ordernary paint job

it depends on the quality and finish of your hood. Most cheaper wet type hoods have alot of defects in the clear coat, but it is not much harder than just regular fiber glass. Same concept, just have a keen eye for the uneven spots if your goint to try and make it perfect. Same paint process.
