Too bad for the cargo company, as they will have to pay insurance/compensation for damages to all those cars.

A few years ago a ship with cars sunk in belgium ... well at sea
The had to saw the ship in piece to get it out ...

btw : those were all volvo's ... that was the only good think

On the 6th of June I ordered my new '06 which was supposed to arrive by the 30th of June. On the 18th of June the dealer e-mailed me that the car was still sitting on the dock on Japan. I didn't want to wait another month so I purchased a car for a distant dealer. I wonder if my original car was on this ship? Since it's destination was Vancouver B.C., probably not unless US distribution also comes from here.
Canadians waiting for delivery though, might want to check with their dealers for some type of conformation.

That same article says they spotted a a 2-mile oil slick. They also mentioned it was carrying up to 430 metric tons of fuel oil and they don't yet know how much may have been dumped into the water.
