I would never buy a corolla from carmax let alone a GTR.

They low balled me on a trade of my celica by like $5k, saying there was frame damage in the area that the previous owner had scraped the fender up a bit nailing a racoon.
Maybe there was frame damage?

About 8 months ago, at our local Carmax there was a silver GTR. .

The GTR was locked, the 911 GT2 next to it wasn't.
Damn, your CarMax is a lot better than the one in N. Austin!

I wouldn't touch this particular GT-R with a 10-ft pole. 29K miles in 1 year is way too much for any car, much less a supercar or sports car. This car must've been a workhorse or a dedicated test car for track drivers. I can't even imagine how it has racked up 30,000 miles in 1 year, and it's an entry supercar, not a Corolla or F-150 (usually used as workhorses for companies). The most I'd pay for this car is $40K.

The dealer where I get my cars from has an 09 GTR with 5600 miles on it for $69,995. Has had the launch control update done and it's first service.

People that trade cars into Carmax are smart people that don't want to get dicked around by regular franchised dealers. I took my girlfriends car there and sold it to them without any hassle. Their offer was MORE than fair and in line with blue book value. We were more than pleased with the service.

I wouldn't buy a car there though. Haggling, as annoying as it may be, when done properly gets you a lower price.

So you're suggesting that CarMax's lots of full of cars formerly owned by smart people? I guess that explains why they carry nothing but best of breed models.

I put 31k on my Evo in one year. It was my DD, with multiple long distance trips racking up the mileage. Especially in places like southern california, where people drive 20k+ miles/year average, 30k is nothing to sneeze at.
