I would never buy a corolla from carmax let alone a GTR.
They low balled me on a trade of my celica by like $5k, saying there was frame damage in the area that the previous owner had scraped the fender up a bit nailing a racoon.

About 8 months ago, at our local Carmax there was a silver GTR. .
The GTR was locked, the 911 GT2 next to it wasn't.

I wouldn't touch this particular GT-R with a 10-ft pole. 29K miles in 1 year is way too much for any car, much less a supercar or sports car. This car must've been a workhorse or a dedicated test car for track drivers. I can't even imagine how it has racked up 30,000 miles in 1 year, and it's an entry supercar, not a Corolla or F-150 (usually used as workhorses for companies). The most I'd pay for this car is $40K.

People that trade cars into Carmax are smart people that don't want to get dicked around by regular franchised dealers. I took my girlfriends car there and sold it to them without any hassle. Their offer was MORE than fair and in line with blue book value. We were more than pleased with the service.
I wouldn't buy a car there though. Haggling, as annoying as it may be, when done properly gets you a lower price.
