Saw this a few months back, very cool car :thumbup:

I once saw someone bring an Alfaholics GTA-R to a local cars and coffee. I happened to be standing nearby when the owner was talking with someone about his car. I recall he said the waiting list was ~1 year and it takes another year to build the car. He said the cost was approximately $200k for the full Alfaholics treatment.

$200K, though? Get outta here! You'd have to really love the car, and the brand, to spend that kind of cheddar on it. You can get a great GT3 for less money (brand new!). I guess it goes to show, this kind of car (like the Singer) is not about value, it's about passion and emotional connection.

^ A Singer 911 is $600k+, I'd much rather have one of these Alfa's instead. Hell, I could buy a 911 of pretty much any variety to park next to it with the leftover $$.

Alfaholics is similar to any of the hot rod type shops except they're building old Alfas up instead of Camaro's & Chargers etc.

Have watched this video several times. It's what driving's all about. So mechanical and raw and visceral in every way. Love it!

For the price, I'd rather have one of these.
Or an unmolested, restored Alfa.

Spending that kind of money, you are buying art. Alfa has penned some of the most beautiful cars of all time and were pioneers of implementing race technology into cars ahead of most marques.

...with race technology reliability issues to support your point... :D
