I think you guys must've mistaken it from a CRX. The first coupe has to be the EG.

nope, 88-91 civic. looks like a 4 door sedan but only had 2 longer doors.

Well it clearly wasn't an 88-91 Civic. As others have already stated, the only two door versions of a Civic offered those years are the Civic Si hatchback and the CRX HF, DX, and Si.

Perhaps what you're thinking off is the 88-91 Prelude and you mistaked it for a Civic?
