They're selling amazingly well, most with a mark-up. Honda isn't making a ton of them but they're selling pretty much every one they can make. In most states (especially ones that don't have much of a winter), you can't get one easily or, if you do, you're going to pay full sticker and/or ADM.

Interesting, I did think the Civic (and therefore the CTR) were aimed very squarely at non-European markets.

Just to clarify, I was answering rob-2, who lives in the USA. My comments about CTR sales are reflective of the North American market only.

I can't speak for CTR (or Civic) sales in the UK. I genuinely have no idea how well they're selling across the pond.

Thanks, I got that. Civic sales are very poor here, hardly seen any of them, Type-R or otherwise. A shame given the success of the EP3.

UK got the EP3 Type-R and it sold decently over there. From what I've read, the US and UK/EU are pretty different in terms of what sells well and what gets tracked/built often.

I was looking for an EP3 Si when I bought my 8th gen Si, I kinda like how they look.

I owned an EP3 SiR back in the day and loved it for a number of reasons, the engine as a bit weak though, if we would have gotten the Type R version it would have been an amazing car.

I'm from the UK, and had an EP3 Type-R. Despite the amazing reviews, I never really got on with it after my CRX VTEC.



I bought an S2000 to replace it.

I really don't like the look of the Civic Type R and I don't want to own another FWD car. That said, my buddy has one with an intercooler upgrade and a Hondata tune and it is very fast.

And for some of us, Honda has never been exciting until it came out with the S2000 and it started and stopped there. So for me, I don't have a lot of skin in the game as far as what they do from here. As far as i'm concerned I already own the best car they every or will ever produce.
