According to the below article, not until the 2022 model year (6-year cycle), which would be calendar year 2021. Given its strong position in the market, great sales, etc, they may choose to push the life cycle a bit longer than the typical 4-5 years, especially as most car sales are slowing and thus not paying off as quickly. However, that article was written in 2017, so who knows if it's right?

Temple of VTEC says mild model change (MMC) in 2020, which is a little later than typical (usually they'd do it 2-3 years in). They did some basic upgrades and updates in 2018 (volume knobs, minor exterior changes, etc), which was 2 years into the model, so 2020/2021 updates would make sense. We may not see a truly new car until 2022 or later.

I can't imagine the NSX program to be profitable for Honda, so perhaps marrying up the CTR with the NSX might make the operation more profitable for Honda.

Stick that drivetrain into the coupe.

I agree, everyone is saying it isn't Brexit related, but Nissan quashed a factory decision due to Brexit. Honda did state that Brexit would interfere with their just in time production system in the delivery of parts, plus a new free trade agreement between the EU and Japan would have made production in UK much more expensive.

I hope Honda doesn't go down the slippery slope of turning away from sports models like they did the last the last decade. Just because GM put out a statement that they are shifting production due to market changes everyone freaks out and says cars are dead , blah, blah , blah, just because GM (greedy motors) doesn't know how to sell cars the entire industry doesn't need to purge all of the car designs. You can produce SUV's ,trucks, electric cars and regular cars and still be profitable, companies like Honda , Subaru, and Toyota can do it, and leave the others to slit their own throats.

It seems we will just have too make our own sports cars in the future..

Now that is a cool idea, lets start up a company that sells U-build-it sports cars, shipped to the customer in a crate. :)
