wow...."INSANE" mpg.... I was just telling my buddy i was looking for a car that got INSANE mpg...

it does sound pretty damn good.... reasonably priced, great milage, honda quality.... or for about the same price you could get a fully loaded piece of shit Ford Focus...

$18,500 for a car that will get 50+ mpg all the time sounds pretty good to me. That's what we paid (after TTL) for my wife's 2008 Civic LX, so I'd gladly pay $1500 more (after TTL) for this car. I won't trade the Civic in but still, that's a great deal. They'll sell every one they make, probably at or very near MSRP.

I will, my Si Sedan will be gone as soon as I can get my hands on this thing. I need a hatch for my dog so this will fit the bill.

Good job Honda, but I'd still rather pay $3500 or less for a 88-95 Civic/CRX that gets 40+ mpg and weighs 2300 lbs or less.

With 180K miles, worn engine, rattling interior, and needing $2000 in preventative maintenance to last another 50K miles?

C'mon - that's just stupid. There's no comparison between a 13 year old car and a new one.
