Crazy deals on some GM cars right now, i.e Stingray and Camaro, etc.
Was at the dealer yesterday getting an inspection on my ZR1 and my Dad and I were goofing off while we were there. I had heard of 20% or more off some cars and we both spotted a really nice leftover '16 gray Stingray convertible. Long story short, sticker was $69k and they would sell for $55k. It is a Z51, 8-speed, with mag-ride, dual mode exhaust, black wheels, etc. Going to wait a week or so and try to get it for closer to 25% off which would be around $52k. Then GM card rebate will put it at $50k or below. Incredible for a brand new Stingray convertible Vette.
Oh, this is for my Dad, not me. My cars aren't going anywhere. We both drove it and it was surprisingly nice. strong, quick shifts with the 8-speed with good crack sound at full throttle upshifts. Engine sounded awesome, especially in track mode. mag suspension was extremely compliant in tour mode. Overall, was very smooth, impressive, fast, and comfortable.
Hope it works out for my Dad. I'm pushing him to pull the trigger if they come some more off the price.
On the Camaro front, I saw on the Camaro6 board that someone got a $46k sticker Camaro 2SS for $34k. Incredible and I think that is a hard to find deal, but 20% off is available on a lot of the remaining ones. That's an incredible performance value. My fiance and I still love driving our '16 Camaro SS.
On an unrelated note for anyone reading, the 488 Ferrari are going for $30k-70k over sticker for slightly used ones. A lot of cheese.

I know Rick Conti is selling some Vettes for 20% off, give or take, on a semi-regular basis. 25% is going to be pushing it but if you can do it, more power to you! Either way, that's a LOT of car for $55K. I haven't driven the 8AT in the C7 but the 7MT was very good. The Vette is way more car than 99.9% of people will ever really need or come close to using.

There's always the 430 Scud, which is awesome!
New Camaro for $34K isn't bad, but -- considering 2010 1SS sold new for $31K MSRP and are now selling for $15K with <50K miles on it, I'd wait the few years and pick one up slightly used.
Although those prices for the C7 are pretty attractive. Wonder how current owners feel about that, since it'll hurt their resale value.

Unfortunately, there is a problem with the torque converter on earlier model A8s. That is why we are hoping there is a solution for all 2017 models. It is worth the money to get an improved transmission.
