Default Dated NSX

Went to the Detroit autoshow last night and was really suprised at how dated the NSX was looking next to the A-Spec.

I'd been wanting to get one ,but decided to get the 04 S2K first and feel pretty good about that decision now. I know this topic comes up quite a bit and I've seen the NSX guys fiercely defend their baby ,but man who pays even $70k for that car

It really hurts me that they price the car at $89k because even though it sells new for less and they offer great lease deals on it people ( used car dealers ) always quote the "New stickers at 89k" price at you and want $60-70k for it to start. I follow NSX prime quite closely most guys I see get them new give the car alot of praise ,but seem to get out of them quickly and start talking about 911's or make horsepower comparions etc. It's most loyal defenders are the guy's who bought them used and paid between $26-45k.

So my question to you S2K guys is what do you honestly think you would pay for an NSX used or New?

Nsx owners don't get upset ( might anyway sorry if you do ) I posted this in the S2K forum because I want to know what people who don't own one yet would like to pay for a used NSX and thier thoughts on it

Personally I would never pay 89000 for an NSX. I think it should be proced at 40k max. If I pay 90k for a car, it will have at least 500 HP.

I'd gladly pay $60k for a new one but they don't offer the coupe any longer as a special order so I'll pass.

I personally wish I could afford an NSX. I considered spending around 30K on a used one but got the S instead (for a lot cheaper than 30) and have a new car with a great warranty. I guess I just couldn't see paying so much each month for something so old. Granted it would probably be very reliable but the thought of something breaking on it would be too much. I am totally in love with the NSX though...there's a lot more to a car than horsepower and even at 90K, I think the NSX is a smoking deal (at least it was). The car is made sooooo well. It is really an almost faultless sportscar to quote Top Gear ('91). I agree we need a new one. But man....I think it is one of the best looking cars ever produced and one day I hope that I can afford ownership of one, not simply being able to purchase one .

I'm a die hard Honda guy. Period, end of sentence. Assuming I was in the position to buy a brand new NSX I would do it. Being such a huge Honda fan the S2000 and NSX are my two dream cars. Some of you will probably think "Hey you ever heard of Ferrari?" LOL I'm big on all kinds of cars, but Honda is where it's at for me. Not just the cars, but the philosophy of the company too. On a side note when I graduate college in a couple of years I plan on looking into a job at Honda worldwide. I think a lot more goes along with the NSX price tag then just 290 HP. Is the car dated? Yes I do think the car is dated. Is it worth 90K? Too me it is. Unfortunately I do not see my self in the position to buy a new one a ny time soon, but I would like to buy a used one in a few years to accompany my S. I don't think the S and the X are the end all be all of motorsports, but to me they are "it".

I'd gladly pay 90k for a new NSX if I could afford it. The car is just gorgeous. But I'd also rather save 45k and get a C6 Corvette, which is another gorgeous car.

If the 2 cars were priced the same, that would be a tough decision.

For 45k, would you rather get a brand new C6 corvette or a used NSX in pristine condition?

I need couple weeks to think about this one.

It may have been high 11's don't remember exactly, it was a couple years ago. The guy is also an excellent driver, he has a drag Mustang turbocharged w/Nitrous putting down around 1800 HP.
