Default Did 2006 Honda Accord undergo a mid-year refresh?

Hi. I'm on the market for a 2006 Honda Accord EX V6, the prices are great right now. However, I'm reading references to a mid-year "refresh." Did the car have a mid-year change? If so, what is the production date, what are the changes, and what is the easiest way to tell if the new car I'm looking at is the newer version?

I'd like to buy the updated version.

LED tail lights, more squared off butt instead of the J. Lo bubble butt. That is the biggest tell tale sign of the 'refresh.'

Also, what kind of deals are you hearing about with the EX V6? I would imagine you're looking at the automatic sedan?

You should have no problem at all getting that price. You could probably even doing better if you play a few dealers off each other.

It wasn't a mid-year refresh. It was a mid-cycle refresh. The current Accord came out in 2003 and was refreshed as QUIKAG mentioned for the 2006 model year. I believe the new Accord will debut for the 2008 model year. All 2006 Accords should be the same, I believe. I had a 2003 EX V6. Didn't particularly like that car. Tremendous understeer. Loud on the highway (lotsa road noise). Interior was a bit plasticky. But, at $24K, I suppose it's still a lot of car for the $$$. I'd look for the 6-spd, though.

As Corey mentioned, changes on the outside include squared off LED tail lights. That's the biggest, most obvious change and it's easily recognizeable from both the side and back.

They added a few different colors as well, the nicest probably being carbon bronze. Additionally, they have different wheel styles for each of the models.

Shop around a lil more...we paid 25k for my Dad's Sedan EXL-V6. That was with tax/tags and a couple options. We did not get Navi
