Default Differential Fluid -- What Type to Use ?

I'm having a new differential installed in my '01 tomorrow, and I need to know -- specifically -- what kind of fluid to use ... and where to get it. Thank you.

Since this is in "Car Talk", one can only assume that this is not for an S2000 or it would be in "Under the Hood", which is for S2000s. Therefore, without knowing what kind of car it is, noone can say what kind of fluid you should put into the rear diff. Perhaps look in your owner's manual or service manual if you have one.

Thanks. Since it's for an S2000, I'll post it at Under the Hood.
