dilema - $2,500 credit toward a gm product.......
between my charge card and other incentives i've got $2,500 toward a gm purchase and i need a new car in march. i've been looking for a 35-45k sedan and can't find a decent product in the entire gm line.
is there a decent car (i don't want a vette) in the gm division?

Saab 9-3 Vector. 210hp 2.0L turbo. 17" wheels, 6-spd manual, "Sport Chassis," traction control, yadda yadda yadda. $32,495 MSRP.
There's also the Saab 9-5 Aero. 250hp 2.3L turbo, 5-spd manual, etc. etc. $38,650.
(I was unaware that Saab was a part of GM until I saw them listed at www.gm.com.)

I think you basically have to ask yourself "Is $2,500 enough incentive to be forced into buying a GM product?" and the answer is no. Correct me if I am wrong, but 35-45K can also buy an Acura 3.2 TL-S, Audi A4, Infiniti G35, BMW 3 series etc etc..

And your going to suffer more than the $2500 in the difference in depreciation over the first two years alone.
Id say if you wanted a GM, the $2500 is a good deal, but I wouldnt use it to make a brand decision.

Perhaps a SUV/Truck, although I think the competition offers superior products even in that category.
