agree about the law of supply and demand.
I would have given serious thoughts to getting an American car if I had known about this before getting my current car 3 months ago. too bad. They should have heavily advertise it beforehand.

Yeah, but: (also from the article)

"Asian brands also continued their surge last month. Toyota Motor Corp., Honda Motor Co. and Nissan Motor Co. all posted their best June sales periods ever in the United States, while South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co. said June was its best single month on record."

So all the other companies also had really, really good months....
I have no doubt that the discount helped GM, but how much of that 41% was due to the economy (as evidenced by the other automakers' success)?

Exactly. I'm all for the resurgence of American car manufacturers, but it's been made very apparent their car designs cannot carry them alone. The GM guys better hit the drawing board!
