Do you think the new Mazdaspeed3 will be any good?

According to the previews, the new Mazdaspeed3 will have 247 hp and 280 lb of torque, no torque steer, great brakes, and very good handling with an LSD.

The price is estimated at $21,000. What do you think?

I think it going to kick VW's butt in the small-hot-car category.

Should be a sweet ride overall.

its FWD. That rules out a lot of potential the MS3 had. what happend to the classic FR layout? its the most proven formula for performance and handling (along with AWD), so why do so many car manufacturers that want to create "sporty" cars insist on going FF? I really do not understand sometimes.

no torque steer

Considering that it's a FWD, that the 'no torque steer' claim is an oxymoron.

Mind you, that does not mean that it's still not a good car.

I'd spend more and get the BMW 130i

I am sure its going to be a great car, every Mazdaspeed thus far has been. I haven't driven the MS6, but the MSP and MSM were tons of fun for the price.

Well, just like the GTI and Civic Si, this car is a performance version of a grocery getter. So, for fuel economy and ease of driving, the FWD platform (or AWD) is usually preferred.
