Driving new Porsche 911 Carrera S in Black Forest
Enjoy

The car accelerates very fast, but not much feel and very little engine sound - those turbos have ruined it all
Still a lot of fun - but older generations IMO are better.

Not that I could afford one, but I'm with you on this. From the video, it sounds like what you'd expect a Tesla to sound like...nothing. When I think of the 911 I think of the great sound the flat six makes. The flat six in this video..well it sounds flat too. I can't imagine skipping over the GT4 and buying one of those.
Here's more what a Porsche should sound like to me.

Air cooled all day long. This is what a Porsche is supposed to sound like.

Sport exhaust? Dual pipes closer to center? Other vids I've seen it sounds pretty good. Not as good as NA but really not bad..

yes - that sports exhaust.
i'm not sure about air cooled ones - the Ruf is pretty extreme example. A few stock ones that i've heard were not to far off from the VW Beetle
You can hear my water cooled one which just has a stock sports exhaust plus catless headers:

I was missing the S2K scream but this sound got me happy.

I think the camera is probably too far into the wind to really pick up intake or exhaust noise on that car.

I heard a new 911 idling at the dealership the other weekend and it was a lot louder than I expected it to be. Definitely wasn't muffled much by the turbos.
