E46 M3 or S2000
Hello!
I'm from Houston Texas, and a long time fan of Hondas.
I have owned a 85 CRX, 91 accord,02 V6 Accord Coupe, 2001 Civic Ex, 2003 2wd Ex Element. Anyway I've been following Honda for a long time now as you can see and well lately I've been finding myself looking at other marques to get my car fanatic fix. The car in my cross hairs right now is 2001 M3 coupe, I have thought of a S2000 but my height has me leery about getting one I'm 6'2" and weigh close to 260lbs,.,i'm not not fat mind you I work out a lot. Anyway so what do you guys think about an M3 I have read about the tranny clunks the recall it had during first production year,,but I have also heard of the absolute joy it is to drive and own. Does anyone have some advice for me?
One other thing I'm not a troll or anything I will be posting up some pics of my two current rides 01 civic which will be my beater and my box the element which I will be posting up some pics of OEM wheels I want to sell. I hope I can get some suggestions and well I hope I can be a good member of the S2K forum!
p.s. sorry for the grammer but I

I own both. Both are wonderful cars and compliment each other nicely.
The M3 is more of a GT car - lots of torque, power, comfort and luxury, perfect as a daily driver.
The S2000 is a pure sports car - high revving, mind blowing redline, very tight handling, great fun, perfect as a weekend car.
If I had to pick one, it would be the S2000 though.

if roominess is a concern, im 6'3'' and in have plenty of room with the seat all the way back, but i only weigh 150lbs, so i dont take up too much space. my friend has a m3 and it is an amazing car, just not my kind of ride, it is a little too pampered for my taste. im a minimalist thats why the s2k evo and sti are my fav cars. my suggestion would be to just go and drive both.

I'm 6-3 210 lbs and the S2000 is borderline un-livable. . But it's not my daily driver. I never drive it more than 45-min or so at a time.
I've driven a M3 also and it's nice don't get me wrong but it's heavy. Really a GT car not a sports car.
You might find a used Z06 vette as a happy medium.

I've owned both, and am a current owner of an 04 M3.
S2000 can be feasible as a daily driver but it lacked a few things, torque, space, and wasn't the best choice with the seasonal weather here in the NW.
Personally I like the looks of my M3 better than the s2000... but that's subjective. M3 is funner to drive on the highway... s2000 was funner to drive on back roads.

They are very different cars, it's then up to you to get what suits you. I'd suggest to drive them both as much as possible, then make a decision. You won't go wrong either way. One is a fun, lightweight roadster, while the other is a faster, more comfortable GT coupe. Which one suits you?

At 6'2" and 260lbs, I don't think you're going to fit well in the S2000.
