Guessing you drove it on the street.

I'll have to do rotors soon though which is $1,100/set, but at least that is only required every 50-75k.

He wants an MT, so I don't think trans is an issue. You can do the RBs for ~$2k (or not, if you have a warranty like me) and live worry-free about that - obviously not a trivial thing doing $2k in preventive maintenance but it's not like "I can't own this car because of this one fatal flaw" either.

Did you drive it hard? It can be a little sedate at normal speeds (it's a sedan after all) but feels better the harder you drive it. I could see a 135i being more fun on a test drive on normal public roads where you aren't pushing very close to the limit, due to its tidier dimensions, lighter weight, and extra torque.
My business partner lost a trans and a clutch on track, was not driver error or abuse either.

Nope, the dealer let me ship the car to Italy and I raced it during a le mans event at Monza. It was boring and overrated even while racing it.

How the **** is an 8000+ rpm V8 boring on a race track?

Did I miss some sarcasm?

He's trolling. E92 S65 is a blast on track even compared to the Mezger in my 997 GT3s.

I freaking love driving my biz partner's E92 M3 track car.

I checked the initial post from OP, and nowhere did he state the car he is buying is for track use. But of course, since you're the resident almighty track God, you can't resist posting your track videos.

In all fairness, when I test drove the e92 at the time, I had an F355. There's a huge difference between Italian 8k rpm and German 8k rpm. But I never tracked the F355, so what do I know?
