I was going to post but didn't because I figured it was semi-common/not thread worthy but...

Friday morning I was on 275 heading from St Pete to Tampa in my 240Z.

A Buick missed his exit and was stopped in the 'median'. Randomly he pulls out in front of our 'traffic pack' and was just barely missed by the first car, the second in line slammed on brakes (we were probably doing 70ish) and was rear ended by a Camry directly in front of me. I veered to the left, got on the brakes hard (4pot, no ABS/PS), locked them up (it all happened VERY quickly) and ended up spinning (almost a complete 360.)

A huge cloud of white smoke wafted over me, cars were honking and screeching to a stop and I thought I was going to die. I was sitting about 35* off from where I started, two lanes over, huge Xs on the road and NOT AMUSED. I got on it, chased down the Buick who I caught taking an exit, called in the plates and reported the whole thing.

It wasn't the spin that got me or even the bad judgment call when the guy pulled out - shit happens - but to cause all that and just drive away - yea - ****** asshole.

Wow, it kinda makes me appreciate nannies to an extent. I can't believe you did that on 275! Florida ranks number 1 in the worst drivers for a reason. I was driving to ft lauderdale a couple months ago on 95. There was barely any cars on the road. We're on a 6 lane highway and a guy blows in a big black garbage bag that was filled with grass. He was basically driving my himself with zero cars behind in or to his side.

Yes.

Walked away without a scratch, just a bruised ego.

Driver training would have probably helped. LOL.

I did a 360 and kept going while moving about 50mph once. Of course, it wasn't on purpose. I was driving a '91 Miata on Summer tires through snow in -20 degree weather - on my way to put on winter tires. I was going up a gentle hill around 50mph and let off the gas just a tiny bit at low RPM and the car swung around so fast I didn't know what was happening. Thankfully nobody was around or I would've hit someone in the next lane, and when I stomped the gas it stopped spinning.

Looped it a few times at auto-x. That's enough for me to know I really don't want to loop it on the street!

Fortunately, there were no other cars involved. It was me driving a bit too crazy, which I wouldn't have done had there been other cars on the road. I did have the TC off... I did a 180, slammed parallel into a median, knocked out a small tree, a metal gate and a couple of 600 pound cement pillars. Safe car, that's for sure.

I switched to the Audi because after owning the G for a while, I'd die a little inside when I saw an A5/S5 on the road and wish I'd spent a bit more to get it originally LOL.
