Not sure when it is coming to the USA, but this one has lighter wheels, slightly lower suspension and hopefully more HP... otherwise, not much different than the current Evo VIII

I'm pretty sure the one for the US will basically be a MR, 6-speed, aluminium roof, lighter wheel, comp-diff, and vortex generators. There will be miffed MR owners, but that's the price of exclusivity.

Nice. It looks like all models are getting the aluminum roof and Bilstein struts now. And all models get the new MIVEC-equipped 4g63. The new standard blackout taillamps are a HUGE implovement over the Evo VIII too IMHO.
My fear is that with the yen-dollar exchange rate where it is, Mitsu will take the opportunity to jack up US Evo prices yet again...

Cockpit only video
Would you choose only 1 car = evo
or 2 cars = 2004 civic sedan ex and a used s2ki with mods?

Not sure if this has been posted yet. The IX was announced for the US at the NY Auto Show. The version for our market doesn't get the cool diffuser rear bumper or AYC. The most significant mechanical changes on the US car are a bit more power from the MIVEC motor and revised gear ratios for the 5 speed in the RS and GSR.

ya, not really a reason to swap up from an Evo VIII or really a reason to call it Evo IX..... the changes needed to be bigger..... but it is getting better each time i guess...
