Fake exhaust tips at the 2018 car show circuit...
So fake tips are a mainstream thing now it seems. I was reading about Porsche's electric Taycan with fake exhaust tips, and came across this article: https://www.carscoops.com/2018/10/fa...to-show-floor/
Another example of the death of cars? |
Fake exhaust tips are the death of cars? lmao. Wow. Y'all are so sensitive.
Also, the end of cars as widespread transportation would be good. I welcome it. |
Fake brake ducts, fake fender vents, fake hood vents, fake splitters, fake diffusers...yeah, there's a long and storied history of these kinds of shenanigans. Frustrating, sure, but nothing new.

big hammer will fix all that fake.
my favourite fake was the toyota rav4 with the big hood scoop back 8-10 yrs ago. I asked the dealer what the hood scoop fed, thinking maybe they put some intercooler under it. nope. nothing like that- what an embarrassment. At least the TypeR civic has function behind all those scoops and such. darcy |
I don't mind the exhaust outlet finishers on the bumper, as long as there is an exhaust behind it. Both our Aston and Volvo are finished like that and it's been a common design trend for a long time. I am not a fan of anything replicating something that would be functional. The biggest offender today are the fake rear difusser channels that are rampant. Who are they fooling?
