What appeals to you most about owning one? Head turns, rarity, exclusivity, speed, performance, investment? If you want to turn heads Ferrari all the way. There is a slim chance the 330 could even appreciate if someone wants to buy it as a restoration project and can find an original engine.
I want head turns and comfort to do a few overnights, I have some full bore sports cars non of the above would touch, so I consider these a GT car with a little bit or sport in them.

Interestingly I was able to track down the original motor and tranny to the 330, numbers matching and all, unfortunetly its in a 100K$ series 1 330 gt now so getting them back is a little out of the question.

I will pass on the info on the lotus when I get a chance to compile it all together, its not going anywhere at the price they have it listed at right now but the owner is moving to a 308 so I know that I can get the price down below 18-19K.

Right now the 330 is winning out, if I can't get that then I might start looking at M1's if I can find a older racer or a running/complete project.

I was also able to find the name and phone number of the guy who did the original conversion on the 330 in the 70's. So I know where the car/motor/tranny is but they are scattered to the wind. Got to love ferrari guys they never forget and will talk to anyvody on the phone about what they owned or worked on, which makes tracking them that much easier.

Any other suggestions for cars like this.
