Fiat 500 Abarth
I know its not news to anyone but..
I can't wait to start seeing these out on the roads. Anyone looking into getting a 2013 model? (2012 is already sold out essentially)
If I were in the market for a fun economical daily driver I'd seriously consider picking one of these up, even though I absolutely hate Chrysler cars and Italian cars are probably even worse when it comes to reliability, I dont think I could let that sway me into not seriously consider an Abarth.

Black one pulled up to me on a freeway ramp signal. Thing sounded very nice for a little 4 cylinder. I would buy one to use as a daily in a heart beat if I had the money. To bad it doesn't come in pearl white

Well considering you can get one fully optioned for ~$25k and whenever I option out a Cooper S it ends up being close to $40k If these end up being half way reliable I think they would be a great buy on the used market

I was super excited and then I had the opportunity to sit one side by side with the new Scion FRS and it made the Abarth look like a kiddie car.
Yes, the stock Abarth would be quicker but it would also always be a FWD and with very few dollars the Scion/Subie would be just as fast and be more comfortable and versatile.
But to top it off my wife, who wanted the Abarth, said "why would you buy the Abarth when for the same money or less you can get the Scion and customize it? Let's get this (the FRS)."
That makes the choice easy.

FWD is unfortunate but less drivetrain loss and better economy would be nice for a DD, whipping the ass out would be reserved for the s2k. While the FRS really is pretty solid value for the money with the fun factor, I think I'd rather go with the Abarth having a turbo engine, it'd be a lot easier to make fast. Giving extra power to the N/A FRS minus boost would prove difficult similar to the S2K. But if your not looking for power, your right the FRS might be a better choice
