It's still the fastest after today.

A TT Gallardo ran 250.1 and a FGT TT ran 249.7 today at the Texas Mile.

Supposedly all the cars still have a good amount left in them.

The previous holder was SW in the low 240's. Tommy Banh broke his Supra record during the weekend with a 247 pass IIRC.

it would take a veyron what, at lest 4-5 miles if not more. i mean the top gear vid were may does the top speed run. it takes at least a minute which if you put the average speed at 150mph in a minute that would be 2.5 miles. i know this is probably not in real time but if you watch the speed its waaaay slower. i mean the gt is still accelerating at 240 as fast as the veyron was at 150mph.

The Veyron may be the most powerful production car (yet!), but compared to these super-modified cars, it's "weak". The Veyron puts down ~800whp while weighing well over 4000lbs. These cars put out much more power and weigh less, hence, they're much quicker (not much faster but much quicker).
