Default Ford Mustang GT350

The voodoo motor in this thing is intoxicating and it's one of the best, if not the best, bang for the buck sportscars I have seen in my lifetime. The engine is so marvelous. S2k type redline. I'm infatuated with it and wondering if anyone here has bought one. I'm referring to the regular 350, not the R. Chassis is good, rack is good, brakes are good.

I'm with you on this - I'd buy the GT350 over the R, just because it'll be somewhat usable on the street by comparison.

Haven't bought one. Wife loved it when we looked at one but I never buy new, so I'm stuck waiting for one on the used market. Given we have two other vehicles with room for five and six people, I don't think the rear seats will be a deal breaker.

Still having trouble picking one over a C7 Z51 or Grand Sport, though. Yes, it's cheaper...but it's also heavier and bigger (taller, mainly) and the interior is still pretty "meh".

The motor is the thing that keeps pulling me back. It's awesome! F22C on steroids, basically, which is very fun. I love torque as much as the next person but the GT350 is all about the driver, not about massive torque to make up for poor shifting and/or situational awareness.

I want one really badly! I bought a regular 5.0 with performance pack that I am really liking. Did a tune to bump rev limit up to 7600 rpm's which is a lot of fun. I think I'd be in a GT350 already if it wasn't for the crazy price markups all the dealers are doing on them!

Already this 5.0 is the most fun engine I have driven. High revving V8 is just so much fun. It still does have lots of torque as well so it's not like the M3 V8's where it was 400hp but only 250 torque. Still TONS of torque especially compared to power band in the S2000's.

I went to Palmer Motorsports Park on Saturday and there was one on the track. It sounded different from every other car there, and in a good way.
