no offense, but i just don't get it. its kind of cool in the sense that i still get that warm tingley feeling every time i hear "type R", but then reality kicks in and its a 3000 lb front wheel drive car. again, no offense but it just doesnt seem all that great.

^^^ Same thoughts here. Though it does look pretty good and might perform decently. Could Honda be about to kill off the TSX just as they did the RSX?

i don't understand why honda just doesn't bring over the type-r in some form or another. the type-r brand is so powerful that they'll sell whatever they bring and have people waiting in droves for it.

The Japanese love keeping the best for themselves.

They can't kill off the TSX. It's sales are one of the best for Acura. It's also the Accord for Japan, so whenever they change the Accord, we'll see a new TSX.

i always thought honda doesn't sell typeR's in the state due to emission reasons...

am i missing something?? where does it say the typeR civic will weigh 3000lbs?? i thought part of the objective of typeR vehicles is to shed all unnecessary weight. if that's the case shouldn't the car end up weighing somewhere around 2700-2800lbs?? if so, then given the motor produces 200+hp, the power/weight ratio is still pretty good. sure it won't do 0-60 in under 5 secs, but i always thought typeR's are about agility and superb handling.
