Fusion tops Accord and Camry in Reliability Index
#22
Ford actually has come a long way in quality and styling. They actually produce cars that the average consumer would buy. If they can ditch some of their UAW baggage and drop costs a little, then they could be a contender.
Out of the Big-3, they're the only ones that actually tried to change direction BEFORE the 11th hour.
I like the styling / utility of the Ford Flex. If it could tow, I'd seriously consider one.

As a current owner of a 5 year-old Camry with over 100K miles, nothing can beat it in the dependability/reliability department; some may match but how can anything beat something that has absolutely no problems at all? Negative 0 problems?

Man, mention an American company doing anything right around here and panties get bunched real fast.
I like the new fusion personally, and ford trucks are super reliable.
My dad has a 2002 f150 that he puts 40k miles a year on, and he has had very minor problems (spark plugs come to mind)
But I do not think I could ever by a mustang (to the poster who talked about his 02. I don't know how to multiple quote). My sister has a 98 (i know, 90's) and all she has had is problems. It sits in the driveway more then being driven. And I have had other friends with mustangs. Not a fan.

Consumer reports have been off on a couple things, so I don't entirely take what they say as gospel.
I work on cars for a living. If it were not for Ford, GM, and Chrysler, I would not be so busy.
Ford Truck... spark plugs randomly shooting out of heads come to mind.
