Default Future M5 ENGINE?

There have been much speculation that BMW plans on offering a twin-turbo V10 in the refreshed M5. Perhaps even the next-gen M5 which is less than 2 years away. It could be possible considering the Audi RS6 has 580hp, and the CTS-V will have 550. This article leads me to believe it could possibly be a detuned version of this:

http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/-bmw...ar-ar54258.html

"Looks like Bmw took this decision in order to close the mouth of the people who thought that the V10-powered M6 Coupe is just an overweight GT which compromised the performances for confort. The new car will show to all sport cars fans that the Bavarian automaker still has a word to say in this field."

BUILD IT.

Not going to happen, 2 years is too soon for a new M5. More like 4 years from now.

I dont know man. They already have the mules running around for months now.

More info: [B]According to the source, the new car will feature a front-mounted V10 engine with a pair of turbochargers bolted on. The motor will be built from a completely new design and include an Infineon ECU developed by BMW

Meh, yeah, 300K Euros is a whole lotta dollars. We know BMW can make fast hardcore machines (e.g. Formula One). We only care when we can afford them!

I know right...but the 4000lb M6 isn't an acceptable flagship sports car for them. Hopefully its well executed.

The mule they are talking about has to be the new 4.4 liter twin turbo engine and not the new M5. The 4.4 liter twin turbo is appearing in the X6 first.
