Sounds like a pretty good marketing scheme to me. The breathalyzer test wil keep many away though

too bad GM did the same thing last year, only they went to different locations and it was free....

Looks like I know what I'll be doing there in June.
Since I don't gamble much, that will work just fine.
Now if they only would keep some of the competitors cars as well, I could stay there all week.

wonder if you could bring your own car? (I didn't read the whole story) you could rent a ferrari or something and take a few laps

No, it would kind of defeat the point that GM wants you to use their equipment. Also, it would open you and them up to more liabilites, etc. For $10 you can beat on a Corvette, I'm pretty sure that's enough incentive.
