Well sure. I'd have done the same thing. Well, I mean I would not have bought a high mileage V10 bimmer, but if I did I would swap it before the repair bills killed me. He probably could have made decent money parting out the BMW though.

Ha. I traded my 09 135i for my S2K. Best decision i've ever made in a lot of areas.

My friend had that same car in a manual. Sounded awesome, absolute beast on the highway, but was single digit mileage around town and was gun shy on any big repairs. Traded it in for new Cayman S PDK.

I sold my e92 m3 after getting my S2K. It was paid off with a brand new motor under warranty too.

Interesting article but I would have been a lot more careful in vetting out these cars before purchase. I wouldn't have been comfortable in the buying or trading scenarios.

I drove a BRZ and immediately hated my 135i. I had my S2k at the same time as my BWM because I needed a winter car. Eventually got rid of it.
