That magazine pic you posted I've never seen before, but the other two I have. The bottom two are said to be entirely experimental, possibly for Lexus. But the top one is very interesting. It looks like they're trying to revive the 2000GT. It probably would'nt be a bad move, since that concept looks like a Japanese Aston.

Thsoe last 2 pics of the car in disgiuse are in this months "Consumer Reports" mag. According to them, this very well could be the new generation Supra or possibly a prototype new Lexus. I think they mentioned a possible V8 powerplant!

The side profile looks like a combo of Viper and Aston Martin.
Edmunds says "the price will probably be under $30K". Not many sporty cars these days are under $30K, esp. powerful ones. If it'll have a V8 or 10, expect it to be much higher than $30K.

The new "supra or what ever it's going to be call" is going to be for sale as a Lexus. Toyota of America is not planning to make a sport car for the Toyota line. The new Lexus sport car is going to cost between
$100-150,000. It's going to compete with the new Benz SL and new BMW M5.

Hey, that looks like the spy shots of the Lexus supercar! I guess it really is the "next Supra."
But then again, in the Japanese mag, it says its a competitor w/ the 350z??? Maybe there'd be a Lexus version released with the Toyota Supra, just like the G35 and the 350z.

The hp will be 260hp base and 345 top level. They will want to beat out the mustang and 350Z and they'll prolly want to start the price around 35K. They can maximize on the supra's popularity by charging a higher price, but they must remember that trends are cyclistic. The sport car boom as been going on for about 4 years, and it'll be 6 years by the time the supra comes out. The trends will change, just like in the mid 90's. They don't want to get stuck with an expensive sports car. They will prolly leave that for lexus. Lexus needs an sportier image boost.

Toyota is NOT going to bring back Supra to the US....
toyota will not endorse any sports car under the toyota name. scion was created to take over that crowd. look what toyota decided to do with the celica and the mr2. IF the next supra is to be released in the US, it will most likely be under Lexus.
