Default The high reving S2000 engine

I was wondering if there are many other cars out there that are as high rev'ing as our S2000, ie. 3800rpm at 70mph/ 4500rpm at 85mph.

I never owned an old integra Type R but that car was very high revving at highway speeds. I did own the 1.6L DOHC Civic Si(r) and it revved about that high at highway speeds.

I used to own a 1999 Civic SiR (EM1 (Canadian)) and at 74mph (120kmh) it was revving at 4,000rpm. Cruising at 60mph (100kmh) it was around 3500rpm. I always thought the car missed a 6th gear

My old ITR. stock Final Drive was 4.5 i think, JDM was 4.7, Mine was 4.9 so you can only image the mpg I got on the highway.

I think Ferraris and maybe only a few other exotics rev as high. The engine revs high because of its shorter piston stroke. It is the same way they get bikes and formula 1 cars to rev so high. Vetc also helps 2.

Of course the Mazda RX vehicles rev high as well but that is because it is a completely different kind of engine.
