If a K20 can fit in an Elise, this would probably work equally well. It has a lot more accessories but the K20 had turbo kits for the Elise as well so I'd imagine it could work.

Possibly, but the turbo is on the firewall side of the car, which isn't ideal for rear-engine cars -- which makes a K20/K24 more appealing.

They already have a 300 hp turbo K series option.

If you have to compteley redesign the exhaust manifold and intake setup, it's hardly worth it for $6500 + k-series bell adapter and engine mounts + the custom fab work to only get 306hp at the crank.
A more realistic comparison is to look at replacement costs for the F20/F22C. They are quite expensive and you can't get a shortblock from Honda anymore. With that in mind, ~$6500 for a longblock (does that come with the turbo? I'd guess not) isn't a terrible option. Is it worth it? Certainly not to the average joe, but if you can't get OEM motors reliably anymore, it might be worth it to some. Some other things to keep in mind.. There have been reports of it being underrated, making close to 300whp, not at the crank. Also, that's with the oem emissions equipment, exhaust, intake, etc. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get that number to 350whp with minimal mods. Of course, getting it to fit and work in the S is another issue entirely, but if you're serious about doing a K swap, turbo, etc. cost wise in the long run you're probably not talking about a huge difference. I'll take an OEM built block anyday over the majority of "engine builders" out there that have very high failure rates.
