Default Honda sets land speed record for F1 car

220.571 mph. Others have gone faster, just not under the rules for the class. They're shooting for 248.55 mph (400 kph), apparently. Still less than a Bugatti Veyron.

good for them.

I wonder if they'll ever win a f1 race. (ps I know they did win many years ago.)

Jim Knapp on this board holds several records in his F20C powered racer. I think his top is around 258mph on the Salt Flats.

He's the fastest Honda there.....

Jim Knapp Thread

f20c going over 250mph

Thats is cool to win any class there...

Winning a race is also dependent upon the driver too, not just the car. It's a combination of both.

P.S. F1 cars have HORRIBLE Cd (aerodynamics). Veyron is more powerful and its Cd is much better too, hence higher too speed.

that's cool. Now that;s over and done with, let's hope they can salvage what's left of this season!

Makes me miss the 80's/90's when they were just an engine supplier and winning left and right.
