Hooray for the 335i
I've been noticing on autotrader a lot of 07 335 coupes/sedans holding there prices in the low to mid $40s which is amazing since the msrp is $40k.
Has BMW hit the jackpot?

I just think current MY cars are generally overpriced on autotrader. Look at any brand and I think you will see the same, dealers thinking they can catch a chump by unloading a used-new car for close to MSRP.

Seriously, I said MOST. They tend to hold their value better than Audi and Mercedes. Porsche takes the cake.

Porsche is ridiculous, I believe the current 5 series is doing pretty bad on value as well seeing how bad their reliability is.

The 335 coupes are still selling at pretty close to MSRP new. That's how they hold the value well. Though, some cars with options can be over $50K, so the used ones are still in the $40K range.

Looking at ASKING prices on autotrader is not a great way to see what cars are SELLING for. Dealers will ask 8,999 for a v6 98 accord with 140k miles. Doesn't have anything to do with the car's actual value. I don't see anything special regarding what they seem to be selling for through other venues.

The prices are holding steady for the time being because BMW stopped putting the 335 engine in coupe's so they were able to ramp up the 535. This drastically decreased the inventory of coupe's, hence why they're holding their value so nicely.
