Would much rather have a modern exotic than retro.

So you aren't down with the 95 Durango?

Personally, I think this blows all of those older cars out of the water:
Daaaamn. I have to admit I hadn't even heard of that particular Alfa, but that is stunning. Classic lines, but also has some features that are way ahead of their time design-wise. That may be one of my favorites now.

My thoughts exactly. I know most would disagree, but there are very few old cars that do it for me. Most of them just look cheesy. This Alfa, the Lambo Miura, the Lotus Elan, and a couple of others have the curves of an older car but without the tacky accessories.

Well if this has turned into the most beautiful car it goes to a different Italian classic...

IMO the most BEAUTIFUL car ever made. Absolute favorite.

Miura have always been my favorite, They reminded of the 68-72 vettes a little and that was the reason I bought my 70 vette. The long hood and short cockpit are similar. The S2000 is a well balanced and proportionate little car, but it does have the same design elements that make a car beautiful like some of the older ones.

There are many beautiful classics from which to choose, but a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Berlinetta is way up my short list. To my eyes, it's one of the most gorgeous automobiles ever built.

to the OP!

Well if we are comparing to other absolutely stunning classics someone has to mention Ralph Lauren's 1937 Bugatti Type 57 SC.

This is the batmobile before there was a batmobile. Imagine how bad ass that must have looked in the 30's!

No, I'd much rather take an Enzo, Carrera GT, Egg, Zonda, Veyron, 599, 458, Furai (if Mazda gives it to me) or even an LFA over any of those retros (no matter how much those retros are "worth" to collectors).

IMO, this car is much hotter than any of the posted retro (and probably drives much better too):
