Yep, planning on keeping the GT4 until I can get another GT car, preferably the 991.2 GT3. I really don't want to eat $20-30k depreciation driving a new Carrera S for a year or two while I wait for another GT car. I might consider a 911 GTS if I can get a good enough deal, but that would likely be better bought slightly used to let someone else eat the first $20k depreciation. Anyway, I'm on the list at the dealer for the next GT3, so hope I can get one. I'm also on the list for the next GT4 too depending on what it ends up being. Definitely leaning towards the GT3 though after experiencing the 911 and liking it.
In the meantime, I'm going to keep loving the GT4.

Makes you wonder how the 911R is.

Corey... you deal primarily with Park Place in Dallas correct?
My next Porsche will be purchased out of state. Im tired of the local dealers gouging us with these ridiculous mark ups.
Once the next gen GT3 arrives i'll be watching the 991.1 GT3 market very closely.

Still love mine... Compliments the GT4 nicely.
I read earlier you've never driven a Porsche? If you get the chance you must... It will change your life.

991.2 S performance is extremely impressive. I think it makes a perfect daily driver and weekend fun car for someone who doesn't ever need to carry more than one passenger. It offers 997 Turbo straightline speed with a nicer engine note and nimbler rwd handling.
If I owned a GT4, I wouldn't trade for the 991.2 S. I haven't driven the GT4, but I imagine it has the edge in responsiveness and presents a more visceral driving experience, even if the 991.2 S puts down stronger performance numbers. There's also the ownership factor of the GT4's relative rarity, which helps resale and contributes to the warm and fuzzy feeling of specialness when you see your name on the pink slip. Over the next few years, there will be tens of thousands of 991.2 cars out there.
A used 991.1 GT3 seems like a worthy alternative to the 991.2 S, but reading rennlist makes me worried about engine mishaps out of warranty. I'll pass on the 991 GT3 unless the second-gen cars prove their reliability.

I'm hoping they are the same with the next GT3 and GT4. We shall see.
