I'm going to vegas baby in 2 weeks so I guess it will be spring/summer warm.

I am planning to rent an Elise, but for the same price could get a C5 Z06 or C6 Vert.

elise. z06 would be useless if you aren't taking it to the track. with the elise you have something more unique AND you can enjoy Vegas's weather with optional top. Now if its a question on which one you'd buy...well c5 z06 for me.

I could rent a Mustang ()

or a F360 or Gallardo but those cars are $2K per day while the Elise is about $300 per day.

Also I'm doing the WCD event in 2 months so I'll get to drive the Gallardo vert, F430, Ford GT, SLR and GT3 or AM Vantage (one of the last 2 listed).

The WCD event costs $1300 for 5 cars.

I want something seriously fun that I can tear around in that doesn't have to be an exotic ($$), but does have to be more interesting than a Mustang.

If you are not doing a track day why would you want an Elise? LV is all about luxury, fun, living it up so I would get the C6 every time.

Partly I want to see if I would want to buy an Elise (later on) as a S2000 replacement, but also I could one day see buying a C5/C6/C7 vette so I wouldn't mind spending a day in one either.

More likely than not I won't buy an Elise (since it's so small) but maybe it's a car thats great to drive one day rather than own.

Also (IMO) you can have a lot of fun without being on a race track.

I don't care about Luxury, I'm not trying to impress anyone in LV that never factors into my mind. But my question was asking for opinions and I respect yours.

rai, i can't wait to read ur review of the wcd. im sure we're going to disagree. i wish i had a crack at the gt3 last yr.

get the elise. it has character. the z06 and c6 are powerful, but BORINGLY NUMB cars.

I'm bummed the web site says you get one the GT3 or Vantage, I hope it's the GT3 but I'd love to drive the Vantage too.
